Workforce Resilience Series Begins January 18, 2022 (registration closed)
Series is free and open to all human resources, workforce development, employee wellbeing and career development professionals
The ECHO-Chicago Workplace Resilience series will be led by a practitioner in the field of trauma and resilience. Participants will meet for one hour each week for 8 weeks with a group of peers. Each session will be comprised of a short presentation on best practices followed by participant-led case discussions about challenging situations that you have encountered at your own organizations.
ECHO stands for Extension for Community Health Outcomes. ECHO-Chicago uses tele-mentoring to help expand access to care by building primary care capacity for community-based providers. Tele-mentoring is done with case-based learning using high-grade videoconferencing.
During the series, you will:

Learn how to recognize stress in employees and respond effectively

Learn skills to build resilience during a crisis and stay connected with staff during these uncertain times

Gain knowledge to integrate resilience into your workforce development strategy to effectively plan for change

Series Lead and Guest Speakers
Jessica Jacoby is the Director of Clinical Social Work in the Department of Psychiatry at UChicago Medicine. She specializes in both adult individual and group therapy using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for a wide range of patient struggles. Jessica is passionate about leading her social work team, training students and therapists in ACT and advocating for patients. Her previous work has been in community mental health centers as well as private practice. In her free time, she enjoys tennis, history, theatre and travel.
Jessica recently led an ECHO Series on Trauma and the Workforce and is looking forward to leading this series focusing on resilience.
Joel Jackson is the Director of Inclusion and Equity Strategies at UChicago Medicine where he coordinates the hospital’s cultural competence training strategy and is the lead facilitator of the UChicago Medicine Cultural Competence Course. Additionally, he serves as a Racial Healing Practitioner and co-facilitates Racial Healing Circles across Chicagoland, helping to provide space for healing, connection, and reaffirming humanity in all of us.
Maggie Gough is Director of Member Experience at WELCOA. Serving a variety of populations in a multitude of industries, Maggie understands the complexity and depth of the corporate wellness industry and the needs of the professionals and employees they support.
